Owner, Operator, and Hair Stylist
Peggy has over 23 years of experience cutting, coloring and styling hair. She has worked in Hawaii and on the mainland. She considers herself a very down-to-earth woman, enjoying salsa dancing, cooking, the outdoors and most of all, spending time with family and friends. She treats people how she wants to be treated and believes that what you give to the world is what comes back to you. Being present, loving, respectful, genuine and kind to others gives her the most pleasure and joy. This is one of the reasons she became a hair stylist – to spread happiness.
Peggy believes education is the most powerful way to service her clients. The hair industry changes so much every year and staying current through education and training, is one of her top priorities. In the last 23 years, Peggy has attended advanced training at least twice a year at the best hair academies. These classes often require her to take time away from family and servicing her clients, but she is extremely passionate about learning new techniques, methods and products that can be brought back to the salon. Some of the classes she has attended are:

"Hair can reveal a lot about a person, and everyone deserves a fabulous haircut, style, and color that makes them feel confident."

Leaving her small island home of Kauaʻi at an early age, Kanae began her education at Paul Mitchell The School at just 17. She quickly found her passion in doing hair. During her time at school, Kanae enjoyed attending events in the community such as cutting hair at elderly/retirement homes, high school fairs & even doing hair for fashion shows. Shortly before graduating, she found her home at Satori Salon and Spa.
Starting as an assistant, she shadowed owner Peggy Strauss for just under a year, perfecting her skills before earning her own chair in the salon. She now has taken a particular interest in blonding and balayage. “I have learned so much in such a short amount of time and I am eager to continue learning as I grow in my profession!”
Aside from hairdressing, Kanae is an outgoing, keto-eating, mother of 2. She strongly believes in protecting Hawaiian culture and the passing on of traditions from generation to generation. Growing up, Kanae spent lots of time hunting, fishing, and dancing hula. With everything she does, she does it with her heart.
She is extremely grateful to be a part of the Satori team and is looking forward to blessing all the beautiful souls with beautiful hair.
Jessica has a passion for healing and strives to provide massages designed specifically for each individual and their needs. When she’s not busy providing therapeutic treatment to Oahu's inhabitants, she loves spending time with her friends and family, skateboarding, surfing and enjoying Hawai'i's natural beauty.
Jenna always knew she had a calling to help others. She believes the power of touch and the strength of community is the best way to heal ourselves and the world around us.
Jenna graduated from East West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, Wisconsin where she was educated in both Eastern and Western modalities of Massage. She learned its history and origin, which helped her become proficient in many practices from Swedish to deep tissue to fire cupping to MFR, and everything in between.
She loves how massage can help relieve aches and pain held in the body but it can also help to heal on a much deeper level. Massage has the power to help release stress and other things that have been unknowingly stuck in the body for years, as well as help heal trauma.
"Aloha Kailua Ohana! If you are looking to heal or learn more about your body or maybe you just need to forget about your worries and relax, please connect with me. I would love to help support you on your healing journey!"

Ivy was born and raised right here in Kailua. After many years of being away, she is very excited to be home to share her knowledge and guidance towards healthy, well functioning skin.
Licensed in 2007, she has spent her career in a mix of luxury, holistic, and medi spa settings in the SF Bay Area.
In 2018 she had the opportunity to attend a holistic skincare retreat.
"My approach towards skincare shifted and I gained a unique set of skills to incorporate in my facial treatments. Facial sculpting massage, depuffing with lymphatic drainage, and facial reflexology are modalities I swear by. I have an in-depth understanding of how stress, gut health, emotions, diet and so much more show up in different forms on our skin.
I treat the skin as a "whole" in connection with the body. There is such confusion in this industry, with social media influencers and the next "miracle" product.
My goal is to end that confusion with an honest and simple approach: Consistency, Patience, and Trust"
In her down time, Ivy loves swimming in the ocean, cooking, solo dance party stress relief, and spoiling her rescue pup, Oliver.
